Starting at 2 p.m., the Colfax 3rd of July Celebration offers a variety of fun activities. From live music and food vendors to games and a parade from 6-7 p.m., there is something for everyone. The evening ends with a fireworks show at 9:30 p.m., making it a perfect family outing.

Auburn Family Fourth of July Celebration
Celebrate Independence Day with the Auburn, CA Family Fourth of July event.
The festivities kick off with a downtown parade at 10:30 a.m. Check out the parade map for the best viewing spots. Starting on High Street in Old Town Auburn there are plenty of spots to grab a seat and the parade will extend up Lincoln Way all the way to the Gold Rush Museum.
This year, the main events have moved to Railhead Park, starting at 4:30 p.m. Enjoy live entertainment, various vendors, kids’ activities, and bounce houses. The day culminates with a spectacular fireworks display around 9:45 p.m.
Nevada City 4th of July Parade
Nevada City, CA hosts its vibrant 4th of July Parade on July 4th, beginning at 11 a.m. on Broad Street and Union Street. Adorn yourself in patriotic attire and join the community for a lively celebration. The Street Fair from 10am-1:30pm on North Pine.
Parking in downtown Nevada City can be challenging. There are several public parking lots, including the Commercial Street Lot, Spring Street Lot, and Court House Parking Lot. Be mindful of road closures and avoid parking on highway ramps to avoid tickets and towing.

Placerville Independence Day Celebration
Join the Independence Day celebration at the El Dorado County Fairgrounds in Placerville, CA. Gates open at 3 p.m., and the event features live music by Locked-N-Loaded from 6:00-9:45 p.m. Bring your propane BBQs, footballs, games, and coolers (no outside alcohol) for a fun-filled day.
The highlight of the evening is the fireworks display, starting after the races, typically between 9:30 and 10:00 p.m. Admission is $10 for parking in the tiers, $5 per person for walk-ins, and free for kids under 6. Carload pricing is $30, including parking and admission for up to six people. RV parking is $75, including overnight stay and gate admission for up to six people. Tickets are available at the gate on a first-come, first-served basis, cash only.
Truckee-Donner Recreation & Park District 4th of July Celebration
Start your day with the exhilarating Firecracker Mile run, a fun and active way to kick off the holiday. Following the run, enjoy the festive parade that winds through the charming streets of downtown Truckee, showcasing local floats, marching bands, and patriotic displays.
